Ditty Sling Bag - Distressed Skull and Crossbones

The 'Ditty Sling Bag' is a contemporary play on the humble ditty bag. The history of the ditty bag can be traced back to at least the 18th century, first being used by sailors to store and carry spare clothing and supplies. Ditty bags were also commonly used by soldiers during both world wars to carry personal possessions.

In keeping with historical examples of a ditty bag, our design centres on a drawstring fabric bag. We've added a couple of upgrades though - a large internal zip pocket to keep your valuables extra safe and a d-ring to secure your keys. The 'Ditty Sling Bag' also comes with a removable adjustable shoulder strap which has been made from black and white polypropylene multifilament cord and red nylon paracord. The strap features a handcrafted leather keeper, finished with classic handstitching using red waxed thread. The strap is attached to the ditty bag using two quick links.

The ditty bag is made from a ramie lined weave fabric and the pocket and d-ring strap is made from a 100% cotton fabric. The drawstring is made from a white twist cotton cord.

The skull and crossbones design has been hand screenprinted using white ink.
